A nice day tour from Bangkok to combine the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market and the Thai-Burma Death Railway Bridge over the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi. Thailand's floating markets are among the most-photographed destinations in the country.
Board long-tailed boats and cruise through the many small canals that take you the market at Damnoen Saduak. Here you will be fascinated by boats of various shapes and sizes used by local merchants to ferry their goods. Then, visit The Death Railway was a strategic railway built between Thailand and Burma. It was 415 kilometers long (about 303 kms in Thailand and about 112 kms in Burma) and passed through the Three Pagoda Pass in Sangkhlaburi District, the most northern part of Kanchanaburi province.

: 08.30 am. Visit the coconut sugar local factory a place where palm sugar is made is called “Tao Tan”. Sugar palm is a famous quality product of Samut Songkhram. When a coconut tree is about 3-4 years old, its spadices are cut, so that farmers can collect its sweet sap, then they simmer it over a fire until it becomes brown and dry.
: 09.20 am. Arriving at the jetty you board long-tailed boats and cruise through the many small canals that takes you to the market at Damnoen Saduak. Here you will be fascinated by boats of various shapes and sizes used by local merchants to ferry their goods.
: 10.30 am. Depart Damnoen Saduak floating market to Bangkok.

: 13.00 pm. Kanchanaburi visit to Bridge over the River Kwai and war cemetery of allied prisoners.
: 14.00 pm. Kanchanaburi War Cemetery, This cemetery contain the remains of 6,982 war prisoners who lost their lives during the Captivity of the Japanese Army that forced them to build the Bridge over the River Kwai and the Death Railway.
: 14.30 pm. The World War II Museum, located at the site of the old bridge, was opened on 5 December 1988 by Boonyiam Chansiri and her family. Her father died fighting the Japanese when she was only eleven years old.
: 15.00 pm. Leave Kanchanaburi Province for Bangkok.
